Citrus Heights police investigate Monday drive-by shooting

Citrus Heights police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a 19-year-old man late Monday, authorities said.

The teen suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot to his ankle, said Citrus Heights police Sgt. David Moranz. He was treated at a local hospital and released this morning.

Officers responded to reports of a drive-by shooting in the 6300 block of San Pablo Drive, near Greenback Lane and Mariposa Avenue, just before midnight Monday. Detectives are investigating the shooting, but have few leads and no suspects, Moranz said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at (916) 727-5500.
