In March, a computer at the home of defendant Michael Gibson (pictured) was observed offering files of child pornography through an online file-sharing network, according to a criminal complaint filed today.
On Wednesday, agents with the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force searched Gibson's house, where they located a hard drive that contained videos of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to federal Department of Justice news release. Also located during the search were hidden-camera videos allegedly taken by Gibson in bathrooms at his house, authorities said. The hidden-camera videos showed children using the toilet and shower in those bathrooms.
Gibson was booked into Sacramento County Jail and is scheduled to make his initial appearance in federal court Monday.
The case resulted from a joint investigation by the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Elk Grove Police Department.
