A Little League game was disrupted this evening when shots were reportedly fired at a south Sacramento County park.
Sacramento County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Jason Ramos said multiple calls were received about 6:45 p.m. reporting shots fired in Rutter Park on Palmer House Drive south of Florin Road. He said information regarding the incident was sketchy, with people reporting that two to four males were seen running from the area.
Between six and 10 shots reportedly were fired, but no one was struck and no injuries were reported. He said it was unclear who was targeted or what prompted the shooting.
"People either hit the deck or scattered," Ramos said.
About two dozen children were present at the time, he said.
No arrests have been made.
