Help sought in finding Madison Avenue credit union robber

Sheriff's detectives need help identifying a robber who held up a Madison Avenue credit union.

The robber hit the Schools Financial Credit Union, 5210 Madison Ave, at about 12:45 p.m. Friday. He used a note to demand money from a teller and then left with cash.

A sheriff's department press release describes the robber as a white man in his mid-30s, about 6 feet 1 inch tall and around 250 pounds. He has red hair and a goatee.

He wore a brown baseball cap with a black logo on the side, a black shirt and dark pants. Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call the sheriff's robbery bureau at (916) 874-5051.
