Missing man last seen leaving south Sacramento-area hospital

Hightower,+Ross.jpgThe Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is asking the public's help in finding an 85-year-old man who has been missing since Monday afternoon.

Ross Hightower (pictured), 85, was last seen leaving Kaiser Permanente South Medical Center at 6600 Bruceville Road about 2:30 p.m. He is considered to be at risk due to his age and because he is missing under circumstances that are inconsistent with his normal behavior patterns, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.

Hightower is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds. He has short, gray hair and brown eyes. He reportedly was wearing a short-brimmed straw hat, wire-rimmed glasses and light blue jeans.

His vehicle is a four-door, pearl-white Mazda 5, with California license plate No. 6HGV025.

Anyone with information regarding Hightower's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at (916) 874-5115.
