Sacramento County law enforcement arrested 104 motorists for driving under the influence over the long Memorial Day holiday.
From early Friday morning to late Monday night, officers from 17 jurisdictions kept a watchful eye for drunk drivers. One sobriety checkpoint was set up, two special saturation patrols were mounted and officers on routine patrol were especially attentive to the problem of drunk drivers.
During the 2012 Memorial Day weekend, 135 suspected drunk drivers were arrested. No DUI deaths were reported in Sacramento County either 2012 or 2013 Memorial Day weekend.
