Rocklin man arrested on suspicion of carjacking his own car at gunpoint

A man allegedly drew a gun on a towing yard employee to get his car out of storage and then went to a Roseville bar where he was arrested.

Roseville police said the man tried to pay his towing and storage fees at a Tahoe Avenue tow yard about 6:30 p.m. Friday with credit cards. However, the cards were declined.

Still wanting his car, the 21-year-old Rocklin man allegedly pointed at handgun at the towing yard employee and drove away in his vehicle.

About three hours later, Roseville police found the man in a bar on Pacific Street. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and carjacking his own car.

Police also found the handgun believed to have been used in the crime hidden in a shed on Ash Street.
