Three officers suffered minor injuries in a struggle with a man in Woodland last night.
Woodland police were called to a home on King Place at about 10 p.m. Thursday where a man's parents reported their son was violent and agitated. The police call indicated that the son might be under the influence of drugs.
When officers tried to take Eddie Bouphavichith, 27, into custody, he allegedly fought with them -- even after a Taser was deployed. He was eventually handcuffed.
After being treated for injuries at Woodland Memorial Hospital, Bouphavichith was arrested on suspicion of resisting a police officer and three counts of battery on a peace officer causing injury.
The three officers who suffered injury were able to carry on with their duties.
