Woodland teen sent to hospital after being knocked out by auto

A teenage pedestrian was knocked unconscious when struck by a car this morning in Woodland.

Woodland police officers responded to the East Gum Avenue and Kate Lane about 7:20 a.m. today where the 15 year old was down on the roadway. Near the boy was a four-door sedan that police said was involved in the traffic crash.

The teen was transported by ambulance to UC Davis Medical Center. The driver of the sedan did not suffer any injury, according to a police press release.

No further information was immediately available, police said. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the traffic division at (530) 661-7880.
