ANSWER: Jeffrey Philip Kiehn was convicted by a Sacramento County jury in the shooting death of 22-year-old Legion Shane Dobbins.

According to stories in The Bee, Dobbins was shot May 21, 2000 in an apartment in the 10500 block of Fair Oaks Boulevard.

Sheriff's deputies said at the time that they believed the two men were involved in a dispute over a drug transaction. Dobbins was shot in the head as he sat on his couch.

According to Sacramento Superior Court online records, Kiehn was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. Now 34 years old, he is at California State Prison, Corcoran.
