Male body found in Citrus Heights Park Creek

Authorities said a bicyclist discovered a body in a creek at Rusch Park early Sunday, adding that they found no signs of foul play.

The Citrus Heights Police Department said the cyclist was riding along Antelope Road when he noticed the body in the creek at 6:30 a.m.

Police determined that the body was that of a deceased male. It wasn't known how the man died. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will be determining the cause of death and the identity of the individual.

The creek runs east-west in the park, and the body was found near the south end of Rusch Park, which is well traveled.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the Citrus Heights Police Department.
