A young man shot to death at a house party on Sunday in South Sacramento has been identified by coroner's deputies.
He is listed on the coroner's department website as Alvin Saivon Valentine, 19, of Sacramento.
Valentine and three other people were shot after an argument broke out between two groups at a house party early Sunday, Sacramento police reported.
Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
Valentine was pronounced dead at a hospital. Three others - a 15-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man - suffered non-life threatening injuries.
At 1:46 a.m. police were called to a report of multiple shots fired in the 4000 block of Sea Drift Way. Upon arrival, they found that a shooting had occurred that was related to an earlier house party but only a few people on scene.
A short time later, a hospital reported that they received four victims of a shooting in their emergency room. It was not known how they were transported to the hospital, but it was not by ambulance.
The preliminary investigation found a disturbance had broken out between two groups at the party prior to the shooting. Both the confrontation and the shooting occurred outside the home.
