Robber sought in Galt convenience mart stickup

galt.JPGGalt police need help in identifying a trigger-happy robber who held up a convenience store this morning.

The man entered the 7-Eleven at 301 Pine St. about 2:20 a.m. today and robbed the store clerk at gunpoint, police said. During the robbery, the man demanded money and fired two shots while in the store.

The robber then fled the business and got into a silver or gray sedan. He was described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build.

Nobody was injured during the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (209) 336-7000.
