Rocklin door-to-door flier deliverers arrested on suspicion of burglary

Two men who were placing advertising fliers on the doorknobs of Rocklin homes were arrested Thursday on suspicion of burglary.

At about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, a resident on Wildflower Lane heard a noise coming from inside the open garage of the family home. He went out his front door and saw one man exiting the garage and a second on the sidewalk.

The two men left in a van, followed by the resident in his own vehicle. Meanwhile, his wife contacted Rocklin police.

Officers arrived and stopped the mini van. They arrested Jesse Nieto, 24, of Sacramento and Kenneth Modica, 46, of Rancho Cordova on suspicion of burglary.

Police determined that both men had been placing fliers from a solar company on the front doors of homes in the area.
