The latest incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. Friday at the SS Coin Wash on Durock Road. Three men in a light-colored four-door sedan (pictured) with tinted rear windows were recorded on video as they committed the theft, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff's Office news release.
The suspects worked together to break into the quarter change machine using the same method burglars used five days earlier, officials said.
One man emptied the quarters and bills into a bag provided by another man, while the third man waited in the vehicle.
One of the suspects was described as white with short dark hair and possibly a goatee. He was wearing blue jeans, a green camouflage hooded jacket, black T-shirt, black shoes with white laces and a light-colored baseball cap with a dark bill.
A second man was described as white, very thin, with shoulder-length brown hair, possibly with two longer braids in front, and a beard. He was wearing blue jeans, a green T-shirt and dark shoes.
A third man, the driver of the vehicle, also was described as white with short shaved hair. He was wearing dark baggy jeans, a white undershirt and a dark hooded sweatshirt with a large design on the back.
The laundry previously was burglarized in the early morning of June 16 by two men who arrived in a 14-foot U-Haul moving truck. They reportedly stole approximately $2,000 in quarters and bills.
Sheriff's officials said several similar burglaries have occurred in the Colfax, Auburn, Roseville and Stockton areas.
Anyone with information regarding the burglaries, the suspects or their vehicles is asked to call Detective Netashia Gallagher at (530) 642-4720.
