Three men have pleaded to felony armed robbery charges in the 2012 robbery of a Franklin Boulevard jewelry store.
Pleading no contest to armed robbery are Juan Basped, 20, Mark Oats, 23 and Leonard Ramirez, 19, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney's Office news release. Two other people, Damian Moye, 23, and Vanessa Ramirez, whose age was not available, entered no contest pleas to felony accessory to robbery.
On Aug. 8, 2012, Basped entered the jewelry store on Franklin Boulevard and held store employees at gunpoint while Oats and Ramirez broke the jewelry display cases and stole jewelry, officials said. All three hid their faces with masks or hoodies. After taking the jewelry, they left the store and fled in a vehicle.
They were caught by law enforcement officers in a nearby neighborhood shortly after the robbery.
Basped, Oaks and Leonard Ramirez are to be sentenced in Sacramento Superior Court on July 12. Vanessa Ramirez is scheduled for sentencing on July 23 and Moye, on Aug. 8.
