Three teens linked to residential burglaries in Davis

Davis police have arrested three teenagers in connection with residential burglaries that occurred in the city last week.

About 3:50 a.m. Saturday, a resident of the 1800 block of Cowell Boulevard reported that a burglary had just occurred. Officers, who were in the area investigating another report of a residential burglary, contacted three individuals in the area. During the investigation, the three were determined to be in possession of property belonging to the victim in the 1800 block of Cowell Boulevard, according to a Police Department news release. The three were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

As the investigation continued, police said, the three were linked to other residential burglaries that had occurred the previous two nights. In all, officers were able to connect the suspects to five residential burglaries. Property from those burglaries was recovered in the 1500 block of L Street after a search warrant was executed Saturday afternoon.

Arrested were Paul Contini, 18, Geron Earnest, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, all of Davis. Contini was booked on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property, and Earnest, on suspicin of burglary, conspiracy, possession of stolen property and committing a felony while out on bail.

The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property. He was cited and released to the custody of a parent.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine whether the suspects could be linked to additional burglaries in and around the south Davis area.

Anyone with information pertaining to the case, or who may have been victimized but not reported the crime to police, is asked to call the Davis Police Department at (530) 747-5400.
