Two men booked for felony vandalism in midtown

Sacramento police have arrested two men suspected of vandalizing midtown with graffiti.

Mitchell Cody Rustin, 20, was booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of felony vandalism, violation of probation and misdemeanor resisting a peace officer. Valentin Torres, Jr., 22, was booked into jail on felony vandalism and a misdemeanor charge of resisting officers.

The two are suspected of defacing property in the area of 17th Street from H to S streets. Rustin and Torrres allegedly ran from police but were eventually caught at about 1:15 a.m. today in midtown.

Officers recovered markers, stencils and spray paints.
