Citizens in South Lake Tahoe arrest man who reportedly exposed himself

South Lake Tahoe police arrested a man at a concert on Thursday night for indecent exposure.

Ajit Madiah.JPGAjit Madiah (pictured), 33, of Mountain View was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor indecent exposure after allegedly threatening a man and dropping his pants in view of adults and children.

A school teacher visiting the lake from Merced told police he was taking pictures of the water, the setting sun and a concert at Lakeview Commons when Madiah confronted him about taking photographs of the sunset.

Madiah was aggressive and profane toward the tourist, who was there with his wife and children.

The man walked away, but Madiah confronted him again in an aggressive manner, according to a police press release. Eventually, Madiah allegedly dropped his pants, exposing his genitals to the public, which consisted of about a dozen adults and children, police said.

Witnesses corroborated the man's account and offered to make a private persons arrest. Officers accepted their citizen's arrest and booked Madiah.

Police said that Madiah also allegedly tried to pick fights at a Lakeview Commons concert last week. He was told to leave by officers at that time.
