Business owners can learn how to protect themselves and their businesses during a free class offered Aug. 19 by the Placer County Sheriff's Office.
Topics will include identity theft and counterfeiting; dealing with transients; high-tech crimes; business security; crime reporting and arrests; internal theft; and trespassing and parking concerns.
The class is scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sheriff's Office in Auburn.
