By Dale Kasler

A Citrus Heights man was arrested in connection with the shooting death of his son at their Kensington Drive home, police said today.

Peter Rexius.JPGPeter Rexius (pictured), 62, was booked into the Sacramento County jail on suspicion of homicide, said Citrus Heights police Lt. Alex Turcotte.

The deceased son was identified as Daniel Rexius, 27.

Police went to the Rexius home in the 7600 block of Kensington about 8:30 p.m. Friday, responding to the sound of a gunshot. Turcotte said the preliminary investigation indicates the shooting followed a verbal dispute.

Turcotte said the elder Rexius "surrendered to officers without incident."
