When officers arrived about 5 p.m. Tuesday to Firestone Public House, 16th and L streets, they found two people holding down 52-year-old Clarke Alfonso Delano (pictured). He was eventually booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
A police activity log said that Delano entered the restaurant and began to cause a disturbance. Witnesses told police he jumped over a counter and into the kitchen.
There, he allegedly grabbed a knife and tried to stab the cooks. One of the cooks, along with the help of a citizen, took Delano to the floor and disarmed him.
Police said he continued to fight until officers arrived.
