Woman allegedly breaks into home, beats residents

An Auburn woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after police say she barged into a house and began beating the residents.

The Auburn Police Department arrested Amanda Standridge, 26, shortly after arriving at a home on the 200 block of Lincoln Way, where a physical fight had been reported.

Police say Standridge, pictured, illegally entered the home and began fighting a woman who lived there. When a male resident tried to intervene, police say she beat him, causing minor injuries. Then, according to police, she chased the woman with a knife and broke several windows in the house.

Standridge was taken to Placer County Jail, where she was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, battery, vandalism and trespassing. Bail was set at $25,000.
