A woman was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment after a citizen reportedly saw a child fall from her moving vehicle.
The witness reported that the child fell from the hatchback of a van while it was in motion. The child then got back into the vehicle, a Sacramento Police Department activity report states.
Officers caught up with the van when it was arriving at a home in the 3900 block of 82nd Street about 4 p.m. Alissa Charlene Anderson, 22, was identified as the driver.
The child was checked by fire department medical personnel and declared unhurt. Anderson's children were released to the custody of a family member.
She was booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of felony child endangerment and possession of dangerous drugs. Police allege that narcotics were found in her possession.
