Sacramento police book man for allegedly pelting cars with rocks

JOHNSON, MARQUETTE -43.JPGSacramento police have arrested a man for allegedly throwing rocks at cars and tussling with officers at a road leading into downtown.

Marquette M. Johnson, 43, was booked on suspicion of vandalism and resisting arrest.

A police activity report noted that that Johnson is suspected of throwing rocks at cars, damaging the windshield of one vehicle. Once officers arrived at the scene, North 12th Street and Sitka Street, about 9:30 a.m. Thursday, they said Johnson was argumentative, hostile and not complying with commands.

A struggle with the officers began when Johnson allegedly attempted to flee the scene. Police quickly took him into custody.
