Sheriff's Department seeks identity of suspects in jewelry theft

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is asking the public's help in identifying two suspected jewelry thieves shown in a surveillance video below.

On Monday, two individuals entered the Sharif Jewelers store near Howe Avenue and Hurley Way in the Arden Arcade area. Once inside, one of the suspects approached a store employee and asked to see a piece of jewelry, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. As the first suspect tried on the jewelry, the second suspect held the front door open. Both of the suspects then fled the store on foot and went into an adjacent apartment complex.

Anyone who knows the identity of the individuals in the video is asked to submit a tip anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com, by texting to 274637 and entering the keyword SSD, or by calling (916) 874-8477.
