Woman arrested, accused of making false crime reports

YORK, CHARLOTTE - 30.jpgA woman accused of repeatedly calling Sacramento police to make false crime reports was arrested Monday.

Officers responded to a request for welfare check about 9 a.m. Monday in the 2300 block of Capitol Avenue. Charlotte York (pictured), 30, was taken into custody, accused of telephoning 911 with the intent to annoy or harass.

Officers have responded to multiple calls from York that were all determined to be unfounded, according to the Police Department's daily activity log. Some of the fictitious calls included a possible burglary and robbery.

York was booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of making false reports. Police said she also had an outstanding warrant stemming from similar circumstances from an arrest in March.
