Submitted by: SilverFox47, Sacramento

ANSWER: Steven Craig Campbell, a captain with the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, was arrested by Citrus Heights police in December 2008, accused of possessing and exchanging images of children in sexual situations.

A police spokesman said at the time that Campbell was suspected of sending images depicting child sexual exploitation to people in Citrus Heights.

According to Sacramento Superior Court online records, Campbell pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced in June 2009 to a year in jail and five years probation.

According to a story in The Bee, Campbell, a firefighter for 30 years, was placed on administrative leave after his arrest and subsequently retired.
