Auburn police investigating several recent residential burglaries are seeking to locate a vehicle and possible person of interest in the case.

Seven residential burglaries have been reported in the city since July 25, according to a Police Department news release. They occurred in the 300 block of Linda Avenue, 100 block of Easy Way, 12000 block of Shockley Court, 100 block of Shockley Court, 300 block of Kevin Court, 100 block of Olive Street and 100 block of California Street.

The intruder has entered the residences through open garages or doors. On one occasion, police said, the individual used a garage door opener, which was taken from a victim's unlocked vehicle.

Police seek the public's help in locating the person of interest, described as a white male (pictured) in his mid 20s to early 30s, driving a smaller red four-door vehicle (pictured).

Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Gary Hopping of the department's investigations unit at (530) 823-4237, ext. 263.
