Two men were arrested after Davis police served a search warrant related to a string of burglaries and thefts that occurred recently in the city.
The Police Department in cooperation with the county narcotics team served the warrant Tuesday at 2526 E. Eighth St. The search turned up narcotics intended for sale, an illegal gun magazine and two firearms, according to a Police Department news release.
Taken into custody were Vicente Herrera, 19, and Jessie Herrera, 35, both of Davis. The two men were booked into Yolo County Jail.
Vicente Herrera was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sales, felony child endangerment, being a felon or addict in possession of a firearm, possession of a high capacity firearms magazine and conspiracy.
Jessie Herrera was booked on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sales, felony child endangerment, possession of a high capacity magazine, being a felon or addict in possession of a firearm, destruction of evidence and conspiracy.
