Balbino Mercadal (pictured) was last seen at 9 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of Glacier Drive in Davis. He told friends that he was leaving for the Bay Area, but he never arrived. Police said this behavior is out of character for Mercadal.

He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Mercadal was last seen wearing a light-blue beanie, blue jeans and a black backpack with a green and white pattern. Police said he may be riding a black bicycle.
