Update: Midtown robbery committed by cyclist, police say
Sacramento city police are looking for a man on a bicycle suspected of robbing a man in midtown on Saturday. City police spokeswoman Officer Michele Gigante said the robbery was reported at 4 a.m. near J and 23rd streets. A man and his friend were walking when the male suspect rode up on a bicycle, assaulted the man, took his phone, and rode off. The suspect was described as being a white male, between 25 and 35, 5-feet-8, thin and wearing a white T-shirt. Editor's note: A previous version of this report incorrectly said the suspect was involved in a similar incident elsewhere in the city based on incorrect information released by the Sacramento Police Department.
