A Redding mother who had two kids in her car was arrested early Sunday morning after she crashed into another vehicle, according to police.
Jessica R. Mason, 25, was booked into the Shasta County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, driving with a suspended license and felony child endangerment.
Her two children, ages seven and eight, were released to a family member.
At 12:35 a.m. Sunday, Mason was driving a 2000 Honda Accord south on Bechelli Lane. She turned left onto Parsons Drive in front of a 1998 Mazda Protege, according to reports. The Mazda was unable to stop in time and the two vehicles collided.
The three teenage girls in the Mazda were unhurt, as were Mason and her two kids.
