Elk Grove police reported that Zuri Hurtz (top left photo) , 8, Asia Smith, 10, (top right), and Barbara Smith (bottom), 10, are OK and will be reunited with their family. They were considered at risk because of their age.

The girls apparently left a residence in the 9000 block of Willowberry Way about 11 a.m. They were reported missing to law enforcement at 5:45 p.m., according to a Police Department news release. According to an area resident, they had last been seen in the 8100 block of Laguna Brook Way, walking westbound about 2 p.m.

Police activated their reverse 911 system, making phone calls to residents asking them to be on the lookout for the missing children.
