The woman killed in a rollover accident in West Sacramento early Saturday morning was identified Monday as Hope Angeli Castellano, 26, of West Sacramento.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office determined that she died from multiple blunt force injuries as the result of being in an accident. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a traffic accident on Jefferson Boulevard, just south of Stone Boulevard.
Castellano, who had been ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A male passenger, Randolf Enriquez, 27, of West Sacramento was transported UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries. He has since been discharged from the hospital.
The driver, Thanh Hoang, 27, from Sacramento suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
Investigators determined that Hoang was driving his Toyota Prius south on Jefferson Boulevard when he apparently veered off to the west side of the road. The car rolled once and landed on its wheels, near the entrance to the office of the US Army Corps of Engineers. During the rollover, Castellano, who was sitting in the back seat, was ejected.
The accident prompted the closure of Jefferson Boulevard for several hours.
