Woman found burned identified by Sacramento coroner

The Sacramento County Coroner's office has identified the woman's body found burning in a warehouse district earlier this week.

The coroner's website lists her as Sandra Joy Patterson, 51, of Sacramento.

A Sacramento police officer on patrol was first to notice a fire in the 6000 block of Warehouse Way in the southeast part of the city Monday night near Florin Perkins and Fruitridge roads.

"It is still classified in our department as a suspicious death, however detectives are not ruling out homicide at this time," said police spokesman Officer Doug Morse on Thursday.

Detectives are working all leads in the case, Morse said.
