Mom suspected of taking son from guardian booked in Sacramento jail

Tina Massey.jpgAvery SPEARS.jpgA mother suspected of forcibly taking her 4-year-old son from his guardian's home has turned herself in.

Tiffany S. Massey, 23, turned herself into detectives and was booked into Sacramento County Jail early today on suspicion of burglary, concealing a minor and assault.

Sacramento County sheriff's officials said Avery Spears Jr. (right photos) was located in Southern California in the company of another family member.

The boy had been last seen at his guardian's residence on Wednesday in the 4000 block of South Watt Avenue, when Massey (left photo), entered the home and took her son, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. Massey was seen fleeing with the child in a silver two-door vehicle.
