The southbound lanes of Interstate 5, near Garden Highway, are set to reopen after an accident involving a big rig and three vehicles snarled traffic for about two hours.
The incident was sparked when a Nissan sedan lost control at 9:15 a.m. Saturday and hit a big rig, triggering a chain reaction, California Highway Patrol spokeswoman Lizz Dutton said.
"The big rig continued out of control, jackknifing all southbound lanes," she said.
Two minor injuries were reported. CHP plans on opening all lanes within the hour.
