One man was injured this afternoon after someone fired numerous shots into a south Sacramento County duplex with a family inside.
Sacramento County sheriff's spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Bowman said the family, including an 18-month-old child, was in the living room of the residence in the 4700 block of 50th Avenue at 2:12 p.m. when an individual drove up in a dark-colored SUV. The individual got out of the vehicle, approached the front living room window and fired at least eight rounds into the residence. The shooter then went to the dining room window and fired more rounds into the home.
A man in the living room suffered a wound to the bottom of his foot but refused medical treatment, Bowman said.
The suspect drove off in the SUV.
Bowman said family members told deputies that they did not know the shooter.
