Police suspect 12-year-old used to take watch at Roseville Galleria

miller_leo_anthony.jpgRoseville police suspect a man and woman of committing a variety of crimes, including using a 12-year-old to shoplift a watch for them.

Roseville police said that on Oct. 1, they received a call from the Hugo Boss store at the Galleria mall. Police were told that a family that frequently visited their store was back and that it appeared the adults distracted a clerk while their young daughter took a watch.

On Saturday afternoon, the adults were back at the store. This time, officers arrested them.

Officers said the man, Leo Anthony Miller, 35, and Terry Ziko, 35, both of Carmichael were in possession of false identification. Further investigation led police to believe the couple bought a pickup from a dealer at the Roseville Automall using fake identification.

Police are continuing their investigation.
