Reward offered in effort to locate man missing since June in Yuba County

Pharis.jpgThe father of a man reported missing in Yuba County in June is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the location of his son.

The Yuba County Sheriff's Office announced the reward in the case of 21-year-old Samuel Pharis (pictured), who has been missing since June 13. His abandoned vehicle was located June 16 in the river bottom area along the Feather River in Yuba County. The vehicle was locked and the keys were not with the vehicle, but Pharis' cell phone and other valuables were discovered inside the car, according to the Sheriff's Office. The investigation -- including searches by air, on foot, on all-terrain vehicles, on horseback, by boat and personal watercraft, and using trained search dogs -- has failed to turn up leads regarding Pharis' whereabouts.

Pharis' father is offering the reward for information that results in location of Samuel Pharis.

Pharis is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information pertaining to the case is asked to call the Yuba County Sheriff's Department Tip Line at (530) 749-7930.
