Rocklin police search turns up attempt burglary suspect

imageContent.html.jpegRocklin police arrested a Sacramento man who they said fled from them when they tried to question him early this morning.

Donald Lee McGuckin, 46, (pictured) was eventually arrested on suspicion of attempted commercial burglary, possession of burglary tools and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

A police press release said officers saw a vehicle being driven in an alley behind a closed business in the 4000 block of Granite Drive about 2:33 a.m. Thursday. Officers tried to speak with the driver, but he fled on foot.

More officers responded and the area was surrounded. McGuckin was taken into custody in a nearby business complex.

Where the officers first tried to speak with McGuckin, police found a broken front window on a business. It did not appear that anyone got inside.
