Two Humboldt County residents were arrested Tuesday at an Interstate 5 rest stop in Yolo County on drug charges.
Scott Bradley Ridenour, 29, and Taylor Nicole Jauch, 19, both of Eureka, were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. Ridenour also had an outstanding warrant for grand theft from Humboldt County.
A Yolo County Sheriff's Office deputy approached the two about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the newly named Deputy Tony Diaz Memorial rest stop. The pair had a vehicle with expired registration.
The deputy smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and during a search 11.5 pounds of marijuana, .49 of a gram of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found, according to a press release.
