Two Woodland men were taken into custody Monday for allegedly attempting to burglarize a rural Yolo County home after farm workers helped initiate the search and identify the suspects.

The incident began at 7:40 a.m. when farm workers saw two men running from a residence on County Road 20 near County Road 92C and called the Yolo County Sheriff's Office, authorities said.

The farm workers gave the deputies a description of the suspects and later identified them. By 10 a.m., deputies had both suspects in custody after they were allegedly interrupted while attempting to burglarize the home.

They were identified as Mathewv Craig Means, 22, and Timothy Daniel Coutee, 29, both of Woodland. Before Coutee was taken into custody, witnesses said they saw him riding a quad ATV, which was later determined to be stolen. Coutee is likely to face additional charges.
