Judge Maryanne G. Gilliard scheduled the sentencing on Nasim, 31, for Dec. 13. He is facing a term of seven years to life for the attempted murder conviction, plus an indeterminate term for the solicitation.
The jury deliberated for about two and a half hours before returning its verdict.
Prosecutors said Nasim wanted out of his marriage to Sarah Bukhari without the stigma of a divorce.
Nasim had talked to an employee who worked for his family's business about carrying out the killing, according to evidence at trial. The employee then contacted Sacramento police. Nasim was arrested Sept. 12, 2012, after making arrangements with an undercover detective to have Bukhari murdered.
