The Placer County Sheriff's Department is trying to find three men who allegedly shot a man
Wednesday in the back yard of his west Roseville home.
The incident occurred about 1:30 p.m. The 35-year-old victim told detectives that the three men confronted him in the back yard of his Browning Street residence. When he told them to leave, one of the three came after him with a crowbar, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.
The man ran from the residence, but one of the suspects fired a handgun and the victim was struck in the back of the leg.
The victim ran to a nearby home, where neighbors called 911.
When deputies arrived, the suspects were gone, but it was determined that they had entered the man's home and stolen two guns.
The driver and shooter was described as a man of unknown race, and the other two suspects were described as a black male and and Asian male.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and was released by late Wednesday afternoon, sheriff's officials said.
