The Roseville police officer who was seriously injured in the Oct. 25 firefight with Sammy Nathan Duran was released from the hospital Tuesday, officials said.
"Initially his condition was listed as serious. He had been shot in the jaw," said Dee Dee Gunther, Roseville police spokeswoman.
In all, six people were injured during the standoff, including five Roseville SWAT officers and a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent. Four of the Roseville officers were treated and released shortly after, according to Gunther. The federal agent had been shot in the lower leg, but was released from the hospital the next day, said Virginia Kice, ICE spokeswoman.
The standoff ended with Duran's peaceful surrender Oct. 26.
