If No. 13 Luther Burbank learned anything from its 35-6 loss at Pittsburg Friday night, it's that it doesn't pay to be charitable.
Checking the boxscore of the game in the Contra Costa Times, the Titans committed seven turnovers while the Pirates had none. Otherwise, it appears to have been a tight contest. Pittsburg had 207 total yards; Burbank 197.
The Titans led early on David Gray's 60-yard, first-quarter touchdown burst before Pittsburg (3-1) took a 7-6 lead in the second quarter on a 22-yard fumble return for a touchdown and successful PAT.
Things unraveled for the Titans (2-2) in the fourth quarter when they allowed 21 points.
