Pleasant Grove senior pitcher-first baseman Ally Carda was part of the USA Junior National Softball Team that won the under-18 Pan American softball championship on Sunday in Bogota, Columbia.

The USA team went 9-0 in the tournament and beat Canada 3-1 in the championship game.
Carda had three two-RBI games and also combined with Erin Gabriel of Poland, Ohio, to throw a three-inning, 15-0 no-hitter against Peru.

The USA team has qualified for the 2011 International Softball Federation's Junior Women's World Championship in Cape Town, South Africa.
