Grant-Folsom football tickets for ESPN2 showdown sold out

Tickets for the Grant-Folsom super showdown Friday at Folsom are sold out.

There will be no walk-up sales the night of the game.

Nearly 5,000 fans will pack into Prairie View Stadium, with tickets selling quickly on Saturday at Grant and at Folsom after team scrimmages. Folsom cannot shove any more fans in, like the epic Division II playoff games at Folsom last fall, which greatly concerned the Fire Marshall. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

Grant is nationally ranked No. 4 by ESPN and No. 5 by Maxpreps. The Pacers, with 16 starters back and newcomer startering tailback in the dazzling Shaq Thompson, are top ranked by The Bee.

Folsom, with 17 starters back, is ranked No. 2 by The Bee and is top ranked in the Sac-Joaquin Section by MaxPreps.

The Bulldogs averaged 53 points a game last season and return all the core offensive pieces, including quarterback Dano Graves, running back Jordan Richards and receivers Tyler Trosin and Kori Babineaux.

In short, don't lose your TV remote.
